Market / Customers
Over 75% of all cardiovascular procedures involving allograft (homograft) tissue in the U.S. are performed with cryopreserved human heart valves from CryoLife. The company distributes its tissue to implantation institution is the U.S., Canada and Europe. BioGlue is used by surgeons to reinforce friable, diseased, or damaged tissues, such as cardiac and vascular tissue. CryoLife distributes BioGlue in more than 60 countries worldwide.

CryoLife's R&D efforts are focused on Protein Hydrogel Technologies (BioDisc for spinal repair and BioFoam for abdominal aortic aneurysms and severe wounds) and Antigen Reduction Technologies (bovine conduit for arteriovenous access). BioGlue is approved in the U.S. for use in adult patients as an adjunct to standard methods, such as sutures and staples. It is approved in the European Community and Canada as an adjunct to surgical repair for soft tissues.
