Description
NovaMed acquires, develops and manages ambulatory surgery centers. They deliver outpatient surgery services.

Ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in partnership with physicians. Their Optical Products purchasing organization allows more than 1000 eye care professionals to purchase optical products from more than 100 leading suppliers with which Novamed has established strategic procurement relationships.
Strategy
In October 2001, NovaMed announced its intention to divest its practice management business and that process is now complete. NovaMed has emerged financially strong with substantial cash flow and with a clear mission: To grow their existing ASCs as well as develop and acquire additional ASCs.
