Products / Services
Clarient's fully licensed state-of-the-art advanced cancer laboratory provides full, comprehensive laboratory services that include in-house pathology testing using cutting-edge diagnostics. In this way Clarient serves to provide the industry with a single comprehensive and expert source for any and all cancer testing needs and services.
Technology / Differentiation
Clarient's diagnostics spans the full spectrum of cellular analysis, from protein identification by immunohistochemistry to DNA and RNA analysis using molecular PCR and in situ hybridization, to cellular categorizing by flow cytometry.
Market / Customers
Clarient has reported that the market for advanced cancer diagnostic testing will increase to over $2.5 billion by 2010. This increase is attributable to multiple factors, including increasing incidences of cancer in an aging population, development of new therapies, and expanded testing panels.
Status
In January of this year Clarient announced its collaboration with CombiMatrix to market and sell novel genomic-based tests for Chronic Lymphotic Leukemia. They have also reported $6.4 million in gross profit for the fourth quarter of 2007, an increase of 78 percent as compared to $3.6 million for the comparable period in 2006.
