As the aesthetics, wellness, and beauty industry constantly advances so must the education for those entering this expansive field.The Academy of Aesthetics offers students a comprehensive course in the most current innovations and techniques while teaching a foundation of scientific skin care therapy fundamentals.
Focused six week courses guide students through the five core niches of the aesthetics industry. Graduates of the Academy of Aesthetics may find themselves in a salon, day spa, resort, medical spa, doctor's office, or as a makeup artist specializing in makeup bridal, editorial, print, media or runway.
Advanced classes are available for those looking to further their expertise in professional makeup artistry, clinical aesthetics in a medical setting, or holistic and complementary therapy.
Students learn new information and techniques from start date to graduation day, preparing them not only to confidently obtain an aesthetics license with the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology but to begin their career with the extensive knowledge and skill to rise above the competition.
Throughout the course, students are trained in today's leading professional skin care product lines; carefully selected companies who feature high end products, advanced procedures, continuing education and support. Students graduate with advanced education and product knowledge from Dermalogica, GM Collin, Repchage, Sanitas, PCA, Murad, ilike, Phytobiodermie, Lycon, and Halina Andre. Makeup is taught exclusively with MAC products and Ben Nye theatrical makeup. Students receive a MAC makeup kit and MAC Pro student discount card.
Though the academy boasts an expansive curriculum, class admission is kept small to ensure intimate, hands-on educational experience. Classes are taught by energetic industry professionals in a fun and friendly atmosphere with focus on positive student development.
To accommodate the varying schedules and obligations of current and future students, the academy offers flexibility in enrollment. Students may attend courses full time, part time morning or afternoon and may opt to take one six week course at a time. |
