| Technology / Differentiation |
| The company's lead drug is Oxycyte, a perfluorocarbon therapeutic oxygen carrier, designed to enhance oxygen delivery to damaged tissues. Using Oxycyte technology, the company has been able to formulate the product into an emulsion, lotions and gels. Oxycyte emulsion molecules are about 1/50th the size of red blood cells and able to flow into small capillaries and around damaged tissue. As an intravenous emulsion, Oxycyte
can carry many times more oxygen than hemoglobin, making it an effective means of transporting oxygen to tissues. It is the basis for all of the products and indications in the company's pipeline. |
