| Description |
NMT has developed a platform of industry-firsts in noninvasive hemodynamic and fluid status monitors designed to assist clinicians in the management of people with chronic conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension, ESRD and other conditions. By obtaining specific objective data regarding thoracic bioimpedance from NMT’s monitors, clinicians can more accurately determine appropriate and earlier interventions. This may result in decreased hospitalizations and reduced healthcare costs. |
| Products / Services |
The ZOE(R) fluid status monitor, which can be used at home or in a physician's office, measures thoracic base impedence ("Zo"), providing clinicians with a quick and easy
method of determining whether patients are experiencing fluid congestion or dehydration. By quantifying fluid volume status, clinicians can optimize medical regimens and hydration critical in the management of patients suffering from Heart Failure, Hypertension and ESRD, or other individuals at risk for severe or recurrent dehydration. Currently, no other device on the market provides clinicians with a noninvasive objective assessment of a patient's fluid status.

| Technology / Differentiation |
| The company's noninvasive monitor avoids risky insertion of vascular catheters. It detects congestion in heart failure prior to overt symptoms, promotes self care and assists in preventing unnecessary ER visits and hospitalizations. The technology currently holds 37 patents. NMT boasts an expansive IP. |
| Market / Customers |
NMT's products are most appropriate for telemedicine and home care, but the company believes they can also hold applications for disease management, case management, outpatient specialty services and physician offices.
| Competitors / Substitutes / Alternatives |
No competitors - standard of care is to self-monitor weight and individual symptoms.
| Funding |
| Privately funded; significant government support. |
| Status |
| ZOE is FDA approved, while the IQ2, NcIQ and Etag were submitted in July 2009. Clinical trials are ongoing as new applications and opportunities appear. |
