Quantum Immunologics (QI) is a privately held company that is dedicated to improving the treatment outcome and quality of life for cancer patients through the research, development, and production of innovative therapeutic and diagnostic products that are based on the universal cancer antigen (oncofetal antigen or OFA).
Quantum's integrated approach to the treatment, diagnosis, and monitoring of cancer is being developed to create novel, individualized products and services that offer a greatly reduced cost, a high rate of efficacy, and minimal side effects compared to conventional treatments such as radiation or chemotherapy.
Products / Services
Individualized Cancer Immunotherapy System
The vaccine is individually prepared for women already diagnosed with breast cancer. Blood drawn from a patient is treated with our patented process, and then cells are injected back into the patient in three doses, stimulating her own immune response.
Cancer Monitoring Test
This test uses some of the same patented technology as the Individualized Cancer Immunotherapy to monitor blood levels of the immune response in a patient following treatment. It can be used to monitor the remission process or done on a regular basis to ensure the vaccine stays effective. This is a simple blood draw, minimally invasive to the patient and very economical.
Cancer Screening Test
This test is an extension of the monitoring test and will require further clinical trials and documentation. However, the company is pursuing this product as a simple, affordable blood test, very much like the widely used PSA test. Further studies are needed to prove its reliability in breast cancer and possibly other types of cancer as well.
Technology / Differentiation
Quantum's approach to cancer immunotherapy involves sensitizing the dendritic cells from a patient's own blood to recognize and direct the body's immune system to attack breast cancer sites in a targeted effort to eradicate or stabilize the disease.
