| Description |
|
Advaxis is a biotechnology company developing the next generation of immunotherapies for cancer and infectious diseases. The Company’s novel platform technology utilizes a modified infectious microorganism, live attenuated Listeria monocytogenes (Lm), which is bio-engineered to secrete an antigen/adjuvant fusion (Lm-LLO) protein and thereby activate numerous aspects of the immune system simultaneously. Lm-LLO-based immunotherapy is able to generate a comprehensive immune response by serving as its own adjuvant, directing antigen presentation, and changing the tumor microenvironment by increasing tumor infiltrating killer T-cells and decreasing Tregs/MDSCs. Effects include innate immunity, enactment of both arms of the adaptive immune response, and many non-classical immune responses. This later-stage biotechnology company has over fifteen distinct constructs in various stages of development, some directly developed by the Company and others through strategic collaborations with recognized centers of excellence. |

| Products / Services |
ADXS-HPV is being developed with indications for recurrent cervical cancer, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), and head & neck cancer.
ADXS-PSA is in pre-clinical development for the treatment of prostate cancer.
ADXS-HER2 is in pre-clinical development for the treatment of HER2 over-expressing cancers, such as certain types of breast cancer, and is being used in a Phase 1 study for canine osteosarcoma in companion dogs.

| Technology / Differentiation |
| Advaxis immunotherapies are based upon a novel platform technology that utilizes live attenuated Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) bio-engineered to secrete an antigen/adjuvant fusion (Lm-LLO) protein. Lm-LLO consists of a truncated fragment of the Lm protein listeriolysin (LLO), fused to target antigens of interest. Lm-LLO stimulates a powerful immune response not only to Lm which is inherent in humans, but redirects this same response to the target antigen(s). Lm-LLO based immunotherapy is designed to generate a more comprehensive immune response by serving as its own adjuvant, directing antigen presentation, and changes the tumor microenvironment by increasing tumor infiltrating killer T-cells and decreasing Tregs/MDSCs. |
