TPI is engaged in research, development, manufacturing, marketing and sale of patented biopharmaceutical, modernized TCMs, branded generics and other pharmaceuticals. It has three state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and an extensive nationwide sales and distribution network throughout China.
Products / Services
TPI manufactures and markets a portfolio of 56 products, of which 23 are listed in the highly selective National Medicine Catalog of the National Medical Insurance program, 7 are included in the essential drug list of China. The best selling products: Ginkgo Mihuan for stroke and other cardiovascular conditions; Apu Shuangxin for inflammation and rheumatism; Azithromycin for bacterial infections; Xuelian Chongcao for immunity and sexual function; Qingre Jiedu for viral infections, H1N1 and influenza. These products totaled $10.1 million, representing 40% of most recent 2nd quarterly revenues ending 12/31/10.
Technology / Differentiation
TPI employs a collaborative partnership model for its R&D which has proven cost effective, efficient and with a shorter development cycle time. It has 10 products in the product pipeline pending SFDA approval. TPI has established R&D collaboration partnerships with some of the most prestigious research and development institutions in China, including China Pharmaceutical University, Sichuan University-affiliated West China Center of Medical Sciences, and Shaanxi University of Chinese Medicines.
