QuantumCor is a medical device company developing Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair
(TMVR) technologies that will allow the mitral valve to be repaired in a minimally
invasive cardiac cath lab procedure. QuantumCor�s technology enables valve repair
without leaving hardware in the heart, preserving the surgical option, and doesn�t conflict
with the use of other cardiovascular devices. This technology provides a minimally
invasive alternative for patients faced with open heart surgery as their only treatment
option, will allow treatment of �high risk� patients who are ineligible for surgery,
and will allow treatment of patients much earlier in their disease process, thereby
significantly increasing the addressable patient pool of interventional cardiologists. |

In the US 3 million patients suffer from mitral regurgitation, with an additional 250,000-400,000 patients diagnosed annually. Currently less than 40,000 patients undergo a surgical annuloplasty procedure each year.
TMVR will offer a minimally invasive alternative for these surgical patients and a therapeutic option for "high risk" patients ineligible for surgery. However, treatment of patients earlier in their disease process will dramatically expand the number of patients available for treatment and will drive a multi-billion dollar market.

Transcatheter technologies will change the way we treat valvular disease. Transcatheter Aortic Valve (TAVI) is rapidly building a European market and multiple high value acquisitions validate the worldwide market potential. Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (TMVR) serving a much larger patient population will parallel the path established by TAVI.
We believe QuantumCor's simple straighforward approach will become the therapy of choice for TMVR.
