ZaBeCor Pharmaceuticals, LLC is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of siRNA, antisense and other molecular technologies for the treatment of asthma, COPD, allergic rhinitis, arthritis and many other inflammatory disorders. ZaBeCor's lead product is Excellairâ„¢, targeted to the signaling protein Syk kinase. Many treatments for asthma and other inflammatory conditions inhibit only one of the mediators of inflammation. Excellairâ„¢, by targeting Syk kinase, inhibits an initial signaling step of inflammation, thereby preventing the release of multiple inflammatory mediators. Phase I data demonstrate a strong safety profile in patients with asthma and Phase II data demonstrate meaningful efficacy in patients with asthma.
