| Description |
|
Celleration Inc., a Minnesota based medical device company, has produced an impressive and growing body of clinical research with an exciting new wound healing device, the MIST Therapy System. MIST Therapy is a painless non-contact ultrasound device that is easy to use with a short treatment time. MIST Therapy promotes wound healing through cellular stimulation while removing bacteria from the wound allowing clinicians to heal wounds faster.
The MIST Therapy body of evidence includes seven peer reviewed journal publications that demonstrate MIST Therapy's ability to heal wounds faster. Celleration's first scientific investigation of MIST Therapy involved a randomized, double blind, sham-controlled, multi-center clinical trial in diabetic foot ulcers. The outcomes observed in the MIST Therapy treatment arm demonstrated a statistically significant wound closure rate of nearly three times the outcomes observed in the sham control arm within a twelve-week period.
MIST Therapy has demonstrated tremendous clinical and economic benefits in hundreds of facilities across the United States. |

| Products / Services |
MIST Therapy System heals wounds without the traditional ultrasound requirement of direct contact with the skin. MIST Therapy creates ultrasound waves that produce and propel a gentle mist of sterile saline to the wound bed. This resulting mist improves the transfer of ultrasound from the device to the wound bed without contact or pain to the patient. The noncontact MIST Therapy is unique because the mist replaces the coupling gel that is required for all other forms of ultrasound (such as fetal monitoring), sports medicine, and physical therapy.

 |
| Technology / Differentiation |
| The MIST Therapy System 5.0 is a wound care product designed to impact key areas of the wound repair process via a low intensity ultrasound generated mist. Mist Therapy is intended for the cleansing, maintenance, and debridement of wounds (i.e removal of fibrin, yellow slough, wound exudates and bacteria), all of which are paramount to the healing process. |

| Market / Customers |
The wound care market is a very large and a costly component of the United States health care system. Market data estimates that more than 89 million patients are treated annually for all wound conditions at costs in excess of $25 billion. Of these wounds, more than six million are chronic wounds involving various types of skin ulcers that are often difficult and expensive to treat. In the U.S., there are approximately 3 million cases of pressure ulcers, 1 million cases of venous stasis ulcers, and 2 million cases of diabetic foot ulcers reported annually.
