| Products / Services |
Misonix's products include: Sonablate, for the treatment of the SonicOne Ultrasonic Wound Debridement System; Auto Sonix, for cutting and coagulation; LySonix 3000, a surgical aspirator used during liposuction; and the FS1000-RF surgical aspirator, a multi-functional system designed to fragment, emulsify, and aspirate soft tissue while leaving healthy tissue intact. The latter is used to ensure the precise removal of tumors and other growths in the brain and on the spinal cord.

 |
| Technology / Differentiation |
| Misonix's products are based on High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). HIFU focuses a pulse of high-energy ultrasound waves onto a single location. Unlike other forms of focused energy, such as radiation therapy, ultrasound does not appear to have a cumulative damaging effect on healthy tissue. Misonix uses HIFU technology as the basis of: devices for the removal of cancerous tumors, soft tissue aspirators, laproscopic cutting and coagulation instruments, tinnitus relief devices, neuroaspirators, ductless fume hoods, forensic laboratory products, ultrasonic liquid processors and scrubber systems. |
 |
| Market / Customers |
Misonix estimates that the product markets in which it currently operates have an annual size of $1.5 billion. In 2007, Misonix entered into a distribution agreement for its wound debridement products-an estimated $3 billion market. Products are sold directly and through select distributors in the U.S. and internationally. Customers include medical practitioners, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other businesses. Distribution partners include major corporations and/or their subsidiaries, such as Mentor Corp., U.S. Surgical/Tyco Healthcare Group, and Aesculap.

| Status |
| The company has received FDA 510 (k) clearance for the laparoscopic use of HIFU for treatment of soft tissue. This is an important milestone for Misonix as it marks the first product approved for laparoscopic HIFU treatment in the United States. |
