Proteomweaver 2.0 was created to overcome the operational gap and to meet the needs of scientists as well in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, as also in research institutions and universities. DEFINIENS Polymind, part of DEFINIENS Cognitionware, is a software application for understanding complex, natural language text. For example, DEFINIENS Polymind can extract knowledge about the interactions of a protein from a repository of scientific articles and present a clear, graphical summary to the user.
Technology / Differentiation
Definiens Cognition Network Technology has been developed by Prof. Dr. Gerd Binnig and his team. The aim is to develop computing and simulation systems which can extract information from complex biological systems. This technology enables computers to automatically perceive meaningful relationships in large quantities of unstructured information. The vision of "natural computing" as a new concept is based on the understanding of the principles of human thinking combined with the functional principles of biological cell systems.
