Description
ViOptix has developed the proprietary breakthrough Optical Diffusion Imaging and Spectroscopy (ODIS) technology which enables non-invasive, direct, real-time measurement of local tissue oxygen saturation.
Products / Services
The ODISsey Tissue Oximeter is a lightweight and portable A/C power-operated unit with a 30-minute lithium ion battery backup. The console has a color LCD display monitor with touchscreen, one channel standard, with a two-channel option, and up to two fiber optic sensors.
Technology / Differentiation
Tissue Oximetry is a patent-protected, non-invasive method of characterizing tissue based on measurement of photon scattering and absorption. Application of optical techniques to biology and medicine has recently become an important field. Near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) has extensively been used as a non-invasive technique for tissue investigation. When light photons traverse a tissue, transmission depends on reflectance, scattering and absorption.
