| Description |
|
Idera Pharmaceuticals develops drug candidates to treat chronic hepatitis C virus infection, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, cancer, and respiratory diseases, and for use as vaccine adjuvants. The company's proprietary drug candidates are designed to modulate specific Toll-like Receptors, which are a family of immune system receptors. Idera's pioneering DNA and RNA chemistry expertise enables it to create drug candidates for internal development and generates opportunities for multiple collaborative alliances. |

| Products / Services |
IMO-2055, a TLR9 agonist currently in phase 2 clinical testing for cancer. IMO-3100 for autoimmune in phase 1.

 |
| Technology / Differentiation |
| Toll-like receptors recognize viral and bacterial DNA and produce immune responses. Bacterial and viral DNA contain specific patterns that are not present in the host DNA and are recognized by Toll-like receptors. Idera's IMO technology focuses on the development of synthetic DNA compounds that mimic bacterial or vial DNA and modulate Toll-like receptor responses. They have generated preclinical data that suggest different IMO structures potentially can induce specific patterns of immune response. They have also completed Phase 1 clinical trial to establish safety and intended mechanism of action. |
