The Proxis Embolic Protection System provides complete protection -- before, during and after interventional procedures. Unique among embolic protection devices, Proxis can protect the vessel even before the guidewire crosses the lesion. (Not for sale in the US.)

| Technology / Differentiation |
| The unique design of the Proxis Embolic Protection System is able to provide complete embolic protection. The system is deployed in a proximal segment of the target vessel, upstream of the blockage. Therefore, there is no need to cross the blockage without first protecting the vessel. The Proxis System briefly occludes the target vessel, stagnating blood flow. Embolic debris created during stent deployment is suspended in the vessel and is then evacuated by reversing flow with a syringe. |
