The scope of LPA's services includes H & E stains , special stains , immunohistochemical stains , CLO test , in-situ hybridization , gross examination of small biopsy and surgical specimens (single cassette) , large specimen gross examination , tissue processing including embedding and sectioning and methodology validation study assistance , processing specimens for outside second opinions , whole mount processing of surgical specimens (breast, thyroid and prostate) , on-site sample adequacy assessment of Fine Needle Aspirates , cytotechnologist screening of gynecologic pap tests , processing of all cytology specimens (thin prep or conventional) , applied image directed thin prep gynecologic cytology screening and in-house HPV testing on cytology and/or tissue specimens.
