Description
CardioMag Imaging, Inc. (CMI) is engaged in the development and commercialization of its novel cardiac diagnostic device, which is based on the integration of highly sophisticated proprietary sensors, electronics, and software.
Products / Services
CMI's new and unique MagnetoCardioGraph (MCG) heart diagnostic systems can be used in practical clinical settings for the safe, non-invasive, and early detection of abnormalities in the human heart. The company designs and manufactures its systems in a fully integrated facility with capabilities for cryogenic and electronics production, machining, curing ovens, painting, clean room, test facilities and software development.
Technology / Differentiation
CardioMag's MCG system is the world's first and only MCG system to obtain FDA approval. The basis of the device relies on analyzing magnetic fields generated by the heart's electrical activity. From the MCG analysis of ventricular repolarization alone, the physician can tell whether a patient has underlying coronary artery disease and-using beat-to-beat analysis-the relative risk of sudden cardiac death.
Market / Customers
Several systems are currently in clinical trials in hospitals and medical centers in the United States, Germany and Italy.
Status
This is the world's first MCG system to obtain FDA approval for use as a tool for cardiac investigations.
