Social Media to Build a Following

  • Thursday June 27th, 2:10 PM – 3:10 PM

As the investment world goes digital, so must companies. Public companies literally cannot afford to ignore communicating with shareholders and traders through the internet, and private companies are increasingly discovering the value in building a strong digital presence.

Yet both public and private companies face significant challenges when building campaigns – on the public side, dealing with massive compliance mandates; on the private side, the need to operate within a veil of privilege while building appropriate exposure. While other sectors have for years relied on social media, the life sciences industry – notoriously sluggish in adopting new technology – has lagged. The SEC has certainly not helped create a feasible environment for navigating digital communication.

Yet, despite the obstacles, a social media campaign is becoming both necessary and extremely lucrative. This workshop, led by an expert in digital communication, will outline strategies for doing social media right.
