Description

The American Society of Nephrology (ASN) is a nonprofit corporation whose mission is to enhance and assist the study and practice of nephrology, to provide a forum for the promulgation of research, and to meet the professional and continuing education needs of its members.

Program/Products/Services
ASN publishes the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology, they also have Renal Week where practicing physicians, allied health professionals, bench scientists, or administrators in the field of nephrology come together, In addition ASN's Policy and Public Affairs department seeks to shape federal policies, and increase federal resources regarding kidney disease research and nephrology workforce issues.

Customers/Clients
ASN has more than 9,000 members from over 88 countries. Ninety-one percent of ASN members have earned their M.D. and thirteen percent have earned their Ph.D.; seven percent of members hold both M.D. and Ph.D. degrees.
