Supports the biotech industry in Korea by working closely with a number of biotech firms and other bio related agencies and institutions Korea Bio Venture Association (KOBIOVEN) was established to support the biotech industry in Korea by working closely with a number of biotech firms and other bio related agencies and institutions. KOBIOVEN was incorporated in 2000 and is affiliated with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. KOBIOVEN strives to be an integral part of Korea's biotech industry and is positioned to become a driving force towards the growth of Korea's biotech industry. KOBIOVEN plans to help in facilitating the exchange of bio related information among both private and public biotech firms and to proactively support the ongoing technological development and industrialization in the biotech industry. KOBIOVEN will also actively share with member firms and other interested groups the management knowledge in increasing and enhancing the overall expertise level in the biotech field. Through these efforts, KOBIOVEN intends to strengthen the competitiveness of Korea's bio venture activities in the international arena and ultimately contribute to Korea's economic growth.
