CHI’s 2014 Annual Meeting will focus on:

Turning scientific discovery in the academic lab into innovative healthcare solutions,
The innovative opportunities and policy challenges brought forth by the emergence of the digital health field
The ongoing trend towards “value-based” payment and delivery mechanisms that biomedical innovators must be aware of.
Speakers will frame these issues against the significant change currently happening in the healthcare industry, with reforms – accelerated by but predating the Affordable Care Act – that will greatly affect all stakeholders, including developers of new medicines and technologies.

The 2015 California Biomedical Industry Report to be launched at CHI’s annual meeting.

This report illustrates the important roles biomedical research, development, and manufacturing play in California’s economy and ultimately in the nation’s health.
