    How many people can I expect to attend the presentation?


    Company presentation will take place in the Franciscan Room (150 people, private company presentation) and Windsor Room (50 people, public company presentation).

    When do I need to send in my presentation?


    Companies must email their presentation in PPT and PDF format, along with any other visual asset they wish to showcase, to no later than Jan 7th. Submissions made after the 7th will be subject to an additional $150 charge and those submitted on the 9th or later will be subject to a $250 charge. Please remember to bring a thumb drive. There will be a speaker ready room.

    How/when do I send materials to the Sir Francis Drake Hotel?

    When shipping packages to the hotel, the hotel ask that it be shipped to arrive no more than two (2) days prior to the event. The following box handling rates will apply: $10.00 per box under 10 lbs., $25.00 per box 10 – 50 lbs. and $35.00 per box over 50 lbs. Pallets are assessed a rate of $200.00 per pallet.Boxes are to be addressed as follows: (Packages return procedures and rates available upon request.)

    Due to limited storage availability, the hotel cannot accept items earlier than two days prior to the conference.  Immediately follow the conference, they request that pick-up of all items is coordinated with the Banquet Department.

    How will I be introduced?


    We will make a 50 word introduction for all our speakers. We will draft this introduction for you unless you provide otherwise. Please email your intro to forum@onemedplace no later than jan 7th. Our introduction will be available for your review and approval when you check in at registration at least 30 minutes prior to your session.

    What is an FTP site?


    FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol. FTP (file transfer protocol) is a method of transferring files between computers. An FTP server is a computer, usually a dedicated one, that users transfer files to and from. These are used to hold software for users to download, or by companies that need to receive large files that would clog up email. A commercial printer, for example, would use an FTP server, to handle large graphics files that are too large to be sent via email. Using a FTP site is reasonably easy, and usually requires only a one-time setup process.
    You can use a web browser to connect to FTP addresses exactly as you would to connect to HTTP addresses. Using a web browser for FTP transfers makes it easy for you to browse large directories and read and retrieve files. Your web browser will also take care of some of the details of connecting to a site and transferring files. While this method is convenient, web browsers are often slower and less reliable and have fewer features than dedicated FTP clients or using the easy to install software.
    If you have difficulty using the FTP Server. Follow these directions: 1. Install FTP software on your computer. There are many of packages out there, with Fetch being the most ubiquitous. However, there are others, including Fetch, Cyberduck (for Mac) and WinSCP (for Windows) RBrowser, Transmit and Rumpus.
    2. Launch the software, and configure it to connect to the server by entering the server address of the FTP server, as well as the user name and password.
    3. Select any files that you wish to transfer from your computer to the FTP server. Most FTP software packages are “drag and drop,” so you can simply move files from one window to another.
    4. Exit the software when you’re finished transferring your data to avoid any mistakes.

    Can I change my presentation?


    You can, but after Jan 7th you will be billed $175 for changes, as this is considerably disruptive and requires additional work and staffing.

    Can I put video on my PPT?



    How long is my presentation?


    8 minutes for private companies and 13 minutes for public. The speed of presentations is a feature that increases our ability to attract time sensitive investors, particularly during this week. Because these move quickly they can see many more presentations than they typically would and then identify those companies to follow up with.

    What happens to my presentation file this after the presentation?


    We will keep your presentation in our archives, unless you want it destroyed. Please let us know.

    Should I bring Investor Kits?


    Any materials you with to bring can be placed on a table outside your presentation room prior to your presentation. They will remain there for a limited amount of time and will the be moved to the registration desk and provided upon request. There been a dramatic drop in the use of printed materials at investor conferences.

    Powerpoint vs. Keynote?


    We currently do not support keynote. Please convert to powerpoint.

    How can I confirm others can see my presenting company?


    NOTE: you will not see yourself listed in the system, as it doesn’t allow you to make a meeting with yourself.

    Can a company set up a 1×1 meeting with an investor?


    Yes, you can schedule meetings with investors and other conference attendees. Companies can accept or deny meetings with investors using the 1×1 meeting system. Anyone attending the conference can request to set-up meetings with other companies presenting at the OneMedForum.

    How long does this 1×1 online system work and remain active?


    This system is a permanent feature for members of OneMedPlace. We have a control panel: My OMP is your control and will provide a wide range of services, even after the conference.

    Securing Meeting Space

    What are the options for private meeting space?


    We provide the Empire (except for lunch hours) and Renaissance Room for meeting spaces. There will be tables and chairs provided.
